Unique miniature book, Happy Stories for Girls by various authors. No copyright date but inscription opposite of title page dates this copy to Christmas 1876. This is a second series copy, and published by Pott, Young & Co, New York. The book is 128 pages long and measures just 4 3/8" x 2 7/8".
Estate find, please see photos. In great condition for a book that is nearly 150 years old! Cover has wear, especially to corners and edges and the blue paper label on front but still very solid. Binding is in good shape and all pages are intact. Inside cover pages are cracked but still intact. A small amount of marking with crayon can be found inside as shown but most pages are clean. Pages are not yellowed or brittle. A wonderful little book sure to delight anyone who appreciates antique books!
